When it comes to gaming, a lot of us are pretty much skeptical about which speakers or headphones are suitable for gaming purposes. Not only gaming, even when it comes to listening to music is another issue which surrounds many of us. There are many High End speakers available in the market for gaming as well as for listening to music, but most of the time their prices are way to high for some of us to afford. But there are still other several cheap & affordable alternatives to the higher priced ones. One of them is the ”Fantech GS201 Hellscream Mobile Gaming And Music Speakers”. Costing at around 10$ i.e around 1200 Nepali Rupees, it turns out to be a pretty good and affordable speakers for the purpose of gaming and as well as for listening to music. The speakers are available in Nepal for purchase through Daraz or the Official Fantech Website of Nepal. I got mine for 1200 Nepali rupees which was purchased directly from the authorised Fantech supplier. But you can still purchase it through Daraz at similar price with the links to purchase it have been provided at the end of this review.
So now, coming to the review of the 10$ Gaming and Music speaker it comes along with a 1 year warranty which can be claimed against certain manufacturing defects or issues which may occur over the usage time. The speakers are available in two different color variants which is a white and a black variant. I’d prefer the blacker variant as it looks more stylish and modern along with its pretty sexy design. The speaker comes along with a 1.2 mm cable which in my view is sort of short in length but shouldn’t be an issue as long as your gonna use it for gaming or listening to music on a laptop but will be an issue if your using a desktop. It has a USB + 3.5mm connectivity option where the USB goes into your laptop or desktops USB port in order to power the speakers and the 3.5mm audio jack into the 3.5mm audio port for the audio. The speaker has a 45mm audio driver which pretty honestly delivers a loud and crystal clear quality sound and also not to forget, the speakers have a passive radiator also known as the bass membrane which helps in giving out more bass output. Finding a speaker with a bass radiator at such affordable price is pretty hard. But trust me, at this price the speakers deliver more than what you can expect from a 10$ speaker. So overall, after using it for approximately a month, here’s what I think of it :
- The bass out put is pretty cool as there is the presence of a bass membrane which provides a rich bass experience
- The speakers are pretty good in terms of gaming and also listening to music. The highs, mids and lows too are pretty much well balanced giving u a pretty good sound output.
- The cable provided is only of 1.2m which could be longer as it would be a problem when trying to connect to a desktop but is fine if your gonna connect it to your laptop.
- The build quality is also pretty impressive, with a metallic grill protecting the upper part of the speaker and as usual, plastic covering the rest.
- Also we have the bass membrane located at the bottom of the speaker which also works pretty good depending upon the song and the bit rate.
- Coming to its loudness, its pretty much loud even at half the volume and its very loud on full, meaning that the speakers can also be used for an outdoor picnic but needs to be powered either by a power bank or your smart phone via an OTG
- The speaker also does pretty much good work when playing PUBG or Free Fire. So if you want a cheap and decent speakers for gaming, then this speaker is just for you.
So overall, at a price of 10$ (1200 NRS) This speaker delivers pretty good sound quality which you would find on the high end speakers. So if your pretty tight on a budget and don’t know what to go with then, this is the option you can choose.
