Boat Rockerz 400 Vs Boat Bass Headz 900

The Boat Rockers series headphones and earphones are a pretty much well known headphones among bass heads. The company Boat is pretty famous among Bass heads as they always deliver premium quality sound and bass at an affordable prices. Well today I’ll be comparing two different Boat products. One is the Boat Rockers 400 (Bluetooth Extra Bass Headphones) & The Boat Bass Heads 900 (Wired Extra Bass Headphone). Both are two different models one being a wireless variant and the other being a wired one. I’ve personally used both and am pretty much impressed on how both of them performed in terms of sound quality, bass, highs and mids.

The Rockers 400 costs approximately around 1500 Indian Rupee i.e around 2500 Nepali Rupees and the Bass Heads 900 costs 750 Indian Rupee i.e around 1300 Nepali Rupee. So lets first talk about the rockers 400. The rockers 400 has a 40mm driver providing HD and heavy bass sound quality along with extra bass boosted function. Also the headphone has a pretty impressive noise cancellation feature which blocks any out side noises along with an inbuilt mic. The entire headphones is pretty light weight of around 100g as it is made of plastic. The rockers 400 has a bluetooth connectivity option as well as via a 3.5mm audio cable. The charging takes around 2 and a half hours to complete and on a single charge can last for a few days if used in lower volume but lasts only a day on full volume. The headphone is powered by a 250 milliamps lithium ion rechargeable battery and can be charged via a USB cable provided withing the packaging. Also, the rockerz 400 comes with a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer against any damage or manufacturing defects. Overall, the rockers 400 does a pretty clean job when it comes to bass production. Powered by 40mm drivers, the rockers 400 gives a pretty powerfull bass out put. The bluetooth connectivity does go on upto 10 metres without any obstruction in between and there is no loss of sound quality when plugged into bluetooth mode. The real issue is when your using the 3.5mm cable provided along with the package, i.e there is a huge loss is sound quality and bass when plugged in the audio cable but is normal on bluetooth mode. You can literally feel your entire face vibrating on full volume because of the extra bass feature. So if your a bass head, then this is truly for you.

Now coming to the Bass Heads 900, it is a wired variant of the Boat Bass Heads series. Having a 40mm neodymium drivers, it provides a pretty dynamic and punchy bass with crystal clear vocals. The headphone is powered by a 3.5mm audio jack and isn’t a wireless variant (Wireless variant is available at a higher price). The headphones has an inline microphone with a button to pause/play songs and receive calls. The headphone cable is tangle resistant which is pretty impressive feature given by Boat. The headphones are pretty light at around 150g along with a foldable design making it pretty much portable and can be carried around easily. But the bass isn’t as powerfull as the rockers 400 but is decent enough. So if your a bass lover, then the bass heads 900 aren’t for you instead can opt for the rockerz 400.

So after using the rockerz 400 for a year and the bass heads 900 for several months, both turned out to be pretty sick. The rockerz 400 broke after a year of use but was still functional but the boat bass heads 900 is still in a good condition and might last for another year or two. Also both of them are provided with a 1 year warranty so you shouldn’t be worried about if it gets damaged during usage.

As a final verdict, for deep and powerfull bass with wireless connectivity, Id recommend you to go with the rockerz 400 but if you aren’t really into bass and just want em for listening to music then you can simply go with the bass heads 900.
